Celebrating the Shadow
The response to the Covid-19 pandemic is painful and threatening. The next series of conversations invites authors to take a courageous path inward to respectfully share the unknowns many of us have been fearing or ignoring. The goal is to create a space where we can share and celebrate our struggles without being judged, knowing we are not alone. Shadow work is not about complaining. Nor is it a request for “help.” It’s an opportunity to enter into a relationship with our disowned selves to better discern what is true and essential.
In structure, we will start together and then use the Zoom breakout room feature to randomly match authors. The bulk of the sharing will be in the breakout rooms. In each breakout room, a pair of authors will share a block of time, one talking while the other listens, and then switching. Then we will come back together as a group for reflection and closing exercise. The goal of the work is to leave participants a little more grounded, hopeful, and connected.
This series of one-hour conversations will last six sessions, meeting every Wednesday at 12 PM PT/3 PM ET. The first session begins May 20. Register HERE for one or more sessions. Upon registering, you will be sent all of the necessary dial-in details and you will also be able to add these events to your calendar.
